At our meeting on 10th August, President Jonathan had the pleasure of awarding the Ray Nottingham Trophy to Paula Jackson, project leader for the House and Garden Tour, one of our major fundraising 'events' that the Club organised last year.
The Ray Nottingham Trophy is a District Award for a club that has had a club project that is fun; involves members working together and involves non-Rotarians. We were joint winners of this award with the Geraldine-Temuka Club.
We had 10 beautiful homes on the tour, along with 10 incredible sponsors, each contributing $250. Thanks to their support, all ticket sales—a total of $21,000—will go towards projects that will benefit the Cromwell community. .
