Meri Murphy was our guest speaker on Monday 26th January. Originally from the United States, Meri now calls Cromwell home - but she is rarely in one place for long.

After a distinguished career as a clinical and prison psychologist, Meri embraced a 'retired nomad' lifestyle that according to Google AI, has taken her to 35 countries across Africa, South America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Her solo adventures have been so significant that they were even featured in Lonely Planet’s Women Travel Solo book. Meri shared her tales from the road and the lessons learned from a life of intrepid exploration.
Meri was accompanied by her partner Douglas MacLachlan who she met on a bus during one of her journeys and a friend Bob Flax
