A large number of members joined our March vocational visit to the new Hector Egger factory, for the prefabrication of timber construction elements for new building.
This huge architecturally designed warehouse accommodates the specialised equipment utilised by Hector Egger in the prefabrication of each of the respective building elements.
Using this equipment a 150m2 family home takes appox. 6-8 weeks in design and engineering per typology, 3 days factory manufacture and 3 days on site installation to a weather tight envelope.
