A very successful 2025 Rotary Book Sale supports Cromwell Youth.
The thousands of books generously donated to our sale by the people of Cromwell and districts, will once again enable us to fund many health and wellbeing projects in this community.
The book sale was open for three days this year and raised an amazing $19,000 to assist with supporting youth projects this year.
From babies to young adults, Cromwell Rotary is and always has been a Club that supports young people in our community and these funds will certainly help to make sure that those programmes we already have in place will be well funded.
Programmes such as:
Book for Babies
RI youth programmes of Rotary Youth Leadership Residential programme (RYLA)
Distributing School dictionaries to Year 4 students at Cromwell Primary and Goldfields Primary
High vis vests to children in preschools & primary schools
Coordination of nominees for programmes such as Science Forum / Innovative Young Minds / Outward Bound
Cromwell College Prize Giving awards
Rotary Schools debating competition with the five ‘local’ high schools
Rotary regional speech competitions
Breakfast in schools
Youth driver courses
The Young Enterprise Scheme
Again, this year we received wonderful feedback on the organisation and quality of the books in the Cromwell sale.
A heartfelt thank you to all those involved, especially the dedicated team of our volunteers who work throughout the year to sort and catalogue the books to make searching easier for readers.
An equally big thank you goes out to the many local businesses and organisations who support the sale. R&R Hiab, Cromwell Bowling Club, Cromwell Lions Club, Goldenview Care and Contact Energy.
Now, we look forward to the summer book sale in January 2026.
