Two candidates for our area speech competition vied for a place in the final at the District Conference at the club meeting on 8th March.
Lucy Laws and James Scoles both gave challenging and dynamic speeches. James won the opportunity to represent the area at the conference with his "daring adventure into internet politics".
James was highly commended for his energetic speech at conference. The winner was the candidate from Timaru whose speech tested the 4 way test against itself. A very smart interpretation of the brief!
