Happy New Year and welcome to our first Bulletin for 2021
A brand new year brings with it lots of possibilites so lets look forward to 2021, and beyond, with optimism.
We have certainly begun the year with two excellent events.
Although the 4WD trip had to be postponed because of the awful weather we are having, it was beautiful day for the trip on Monday 1th and a very good number of people turned out for another excellent adventure, created by Gordon and his team. Thank you for their dedication to this ongoing popular and successful event. Read more below.
This was followed by an equally successful summer booksale. The nearby Classic Car Show certainly added customers to our event and we were thrilled to make sales of around $6500. Once again the community support shows that books have not lost their appeal. See more below.
Thank you very much to Euan for responding to my call out and offering to be the Shelterbox Champion for our club. More to come about this.
Our first meeting of the year will be this coming Monday, 25th Jan, at the Town and Country Club as usual and a warm welcome is extended to all guests you may want to bring our meetings. But please remember to add their names to the guest list by Sunday evening so that the T&C team have correct numbers for catering.
And a new year reminder to all active members to please remember to put in an apology on the website if you cannot attend a meeting at the T&C Club. If you are not able to do this online then please make sure to contact Sally Angus by Sunday evening to let her know you won't be at the meeting.
We are very pleased to be able to continue to meet at the club and thank Neil and his team for their continued support.
I look forward to reconnecting on Monday evening.
Until then -
Warm regards
Pam
