It was a particularly wintery night but that didn't dampen the spirits of the Rotarians who rejoiced in the magic of Rotary at the Vintage Car Club Rooms on Monday 1st July at the changeover function to farewell Richard and welcome Rose as our new president.
It was a fun filled occasion with a warming mulled wine served on arrival and a sumptuous buffet provided by Gabi and Hannah from Kitchen Garden Catering.
The new theme "The Magic of Rotary" was well proven by our newest member and magnificent magican Jonathan Usher.
To cap off a very special evening everyone was thrilled to hear that Jean and Keith Morgan were the recipients of the Mary and Lindsay MacIntyre Award this year. This award was established 2016-2017 to commemorate the substantial contributions made to Rotary by these two late members.
The annual Award is presented to the Rotarian who best exhibits the spirit of Rotary. Jean and Keith are without a doubt excellent examples of the spirit of Rotary and most worthy recipients. Warmest congratulations to you both.
Amongst the guests we were thrilled to have honorary members Doreen McKinlay and Peter Jackson come out to join us.
