We would like to see as many as possible at Rotary Point from 5:30 pm on Monday evening for a joint working bee/social catch up. The task - to help further clear the site for the tree planting project. Sturdy footwear, gardening implements, a few wheelbarrows, rakes and shovels are required.
The social side - Please bring a deck chair, drinks, nibbles and a few stories to share between say 6:30 - 7:00ish. Everyone welcome.
We look forward to seeing many of you there as we keep in contact in what is likely a safe outdoor environment.

May 30, 2022
On Monday May 30, we’re planning the next Guess Who’s coming to Dinner event. These are fun, social get togethers for club members over a meal in private homes. There a growing number of members looking to reconnect so please give this serious consideration as a step towards more face to face meetings.
Adrienne would like to know these things by Monday, May 23 please.
1. Are you willing to host?
2. Are you keen to be a guest?
Hosts provide a meal for their guests.
Guests pay $20 pp and provide a tipple of their choice.
The funds will go towards the local Care and Friendship group who organise a meal and social time with activities and games for the local elderly, every fortnight. This is a valuable service which helps to deflect loneliness in our elderly by keeping them socially connected.
Please act now. Let Adrienne know your prospective involvement please.
Cheers,
Ade

Jul 01, 2022 5:00 PM - Jul 31, 2022 5:00 PM
We believe it could be a fun activity for the club to have many members take up the challenge this year and enjoy something of the huge range of beers and pies available from many sources. No special preparation and training is required to have a beer and pie each day during July. Supporting our local efforts, several of our local Police staff are aiming to join in and Sangas Pies in Cromwell are keen to help out with some sponsorship. In fact the plan is to kick start the month with a beer and pie evening at Sangas on Friday evening, the first of July. Now, to get more people underway and joining in for the first time, let’s look at the definition of a pie. Perhaps it’s one of those mini pies from Couplands? A packet could last a whole weeks worth. A custard or apple pie for desert? The fish pie or shepard’s pie you make at home often? And the beer could be a ginger beer, no alcohol or your choice of beverage as an alternative will surely be permitted. While the ultimate challenge is a beer and pie every day for the month, any days you manage that during July will count to being involved. It has been suggested that those of us who get involved contribute $20 each for the privilege of doing so and this will go as a donation to a local charity to be agreed by those participating. We look forward to you signing yourself and friends up on the following sheet. Please complete this by next Wednesday the 22nd of June, which will enable us to get firm numbers to Sangas for the launch on the 1st of July. Note: While this challenge was initially set up as a take off of Dry July, we acknowledge this admirable cause will continue to be supported by many.
